Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden | A Charlotte Attraction

Drive 30 minutes west of Uptown Charlotte NC...towards Belmont/Lake Wylie...and you will come across the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. This is a popular place for families and friends to spend the afternoon having a picnic and strolling through the gardens.
There are greenhouses with controlled climates that have waterfalls and exotic plants. Here you will find different types of orchids, flower arches, banana trees, cacti...etc. Visit the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden at different times throughout the year and you will see different types of plants and flowers in bloom. If you visit in the fall, the greenhouses will be filled with Monarch butterflies. You can see the butterflies in different stages as they ca-coon as worms and hatch as beautiful orange and yellow Monarchs. Wear bright colors to the garden and these butterflies will land all over you.

The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is a great place to spend a few hours away from the hustle of the city.
